High visibility vest compulsory
Belgium is the ninth country in Europe to introduce compulsory high visibility vests. From 1st February 2007, all motor vehicle drivers will be obliged to wear a high visibility vest as soon as they leave their vehicle on motorways or highways.

Correct behaviour during police checks
Police checks are stressful situations – for all concerned. The driver automatically asks himself, “have I done something wrong?” The police officer has no idea with whom he is dealing. He must be prepared in case a potentially violent situation arises.
