MAN enjoys best reputation amongst professionals/Survey of 400 fleet managers in transport companies, logistics groups, industry and retail

Germany’s fleet managers have spoken: MAN commercial vehicles has the best reputation of all truck manufacturers. MAN is way out in the lead as far as brand awareness and image are concerned – so says a survey of 400 fleet managers in transport companies, logistics groups, industry and retail conducted by the market researchers TNS Emnid for VerkehrsRundschau, a weekly magazine for transport professionals in Germany.

This image ranking indicates how much the market trusts the main manufacturers of commercial vehicles. According to the Emnid study, companies are increasingly being defined by their environmental policy, as well as product quality and customer orientation.

“We are very proud of our prize. It reflects the general market opinion of our products and services and shows us that we’re on the right track,” explained Peter Erichreineke, Director of Sales and Marketing at MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG, at the award ceremony in Munich on 14 February 2008. Prof. Dr Karl Viktor Schaller, Director of Technology and Purchasing, added: “I am convinced that our exciting new truck lines, the TGX and TGS, which are already “Truck of the Year 2008”, helped us in achieving this excellent result. They prove that you can get both efficiency and emotion in a truck.”
